Zan Burnham - Producer, Songwriter, Guitarist, Vocalist, etc.

Zan has now produced his band’s sixth album, along with engineer Chris Benham. The Rock Is Still Rollin’ is another amazing musical accomplishment for this native New Yorker as he strives to write, record and play outstanding music.

The Rock Is Still Rollin’ is Zan Zone’s latest album coming on the heels of 2022’s Start Where You Stand, 2018’s It’s Only Natural, 2013’s Shorts, and 2009’s Time & Materials. Currently, Zan is producing an album for an NYC country band, Darlin’, who are selling out shows all over.

Prior to his recording career Zan, studied music at Manhattanville University with a minor in music theory, and studies in Classical and Jazz music. He also attended studio engineering classes at The Institute Of Audio Research in Manhattan, taught guitar for over a decade, and he has had over 30 years of experience in various projects, recording and performing in many bands as a guitarist and singer all over the tri-state area.

Critic’s and audience reviews have consistently been positive with one critic stating "It is hard to understand why Zan Zone is not more well-known as (Zan Zone’s music is) a delightful collection of music, real music, which has real soul and presence."

Perhaps 2026 will be the year that the world gets a clue, and wakes up to some of the best music being made these days.

Jazz organist and vocalist Adrienne McKay is a truly unique talent on today’s music scene. Born and raised in Nelson, New Zealand, Adrienne was born into a musical family. She graduated Massey Conservatorium of Music in Wellington with a degree in jazz voice in 2004.

Adrienne moved to the USA in 2008, performing at Hammond organ summits, jazz clubs and jam sessions in Cincinnati, Detroit, Dayton and Columbus Ohio.

In 2016, Adrienne relocated to New York City and self-released her first instrumental album ‘Mo’ Puddin’. The record quickly made its way up to the number 4 position in the CMJ Jazz Charts. Adrienne followed up that instrumental release with another impressive recording ‘Blues Jam’. What sets Blues Jam apart from other albums is the unique combination of a female led organ/vocal trio. She also released a well-received singer/songwriter album, Inner Voice, in 2019

Serendipity and some good luck stepped in in 2023 when she found herself working part-time at Chris Benham’s Brooklyn recording studio, Big Orange Sheep. There she met Zan Burnham, who’s band was just starting to record The Rock Is Still Rollin’. Zan recognized her incredible talent, and invited her to participate on the album. Adrienne brought a new voice to the band, giving it a previously unrealized depth.

Adrienne continues to play jazz gigs all over the Northeast of the USA, yet still has time to be an integral part of Zan Zone.

Ksenia Vasileva was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Prior to concentrating on music, she received a masters degree in Public Relations. However, eventually music came calling and she took up the bass guitar and was touring Europe and Russia with some of her favorite bands and artists for about 10 years.

Eventually, she felt that she had reached her goals in her home country, and decided to change her life, and attended Berklee College of Music, graduating in the summer of 2021, with double major degree in Electronic Production, Design and Performance.

Ksenia has played with many top flight American musicians, including Lincoln Goines, Victor Wooten, Dennis Chambers, among others. She’s literally in demand from the West coast to the East. In the fall of 2025, she backed up an ex-pat Iranian singer-songwriter and the drummer happened to be Marko Djordjevic. Zan attended their last show of the coast-to-coast USA tour, met Ksenia, and voila! a new Zan Zone member was inducted.
